The Eye Doctor for Children
Pediatric Eye Examinations
A comprehensive eye exam is just as important for children as it is for adults. We recommend an eye exam for your child about the time they start school. Many children have vision problems that, without an eye exam, may be misdiagnosed as a learning disorder or developmental delay. Early identification of a child’s vision problem can be crucial because children are often more responsive to treatment when the problem is diagnosed early.
Glasses for Children
We have a wide selection of children’s frames, some with a total eyewear warranty which would replace their glasses if they break or are lost. We have glasses designed for babies and children of all ages. We also have sports goggles for kids that come in various colors!Learn More
Oregon Health Plan
The Oregon Health Plan covers a yearly eye exam and a pair of glasses for children up through the age of twenty. Once you turn 21, you need a medical referral from your primary care physician for an exam, and they will not cover glasses.
